Melinda was out host in the cafe. Such a delightful person. The chicken fried chicken, and the fish/shrimp combo were outstanding! So was the turkey sandwich. When we can't back four days later, Melinda remembered us. Great experience, great food.
Never got to eat, canceled our food after an hour. Rude, rude, rude counter staff. People came in 20 mins after us and were served. No explanation or apology, just pointed to a handmade poster “Be patient this is not fast food”. Dirty dishes on 75 % of the tables, restaurant had two active tables, waitress too busy socializing to clear. I strongly discourage anyone from even considering this establishment.
This place serves up great food. I have never had a bad meal. The servers are always very friendly. The food is good down home cooking, and the atmosphere is just country, snd quaint.
